MS student, Jennifer Rouan, wins a prestigious Anita Borg memorial scholarship from Google. Jennifer is a research assistant at the CUDA teaching center under the supervision of Prof. Taha. Congratulations!
Congratulations to Prof. Ramaswamy for winning a grant from NSF for his project on building Cloud-based Big-Data techniques for federated Internet of Things.
CS department will hold its fourth annual Research Day on April 4th
from 4:00p to 7:30p at the Georgia Center. The Research Day is designed to
showcase the accomplishments and abilities of our thriving graduate program.
We invite the university community, potential graduate students, alumni, and
current and potential industrial affiliates to join us for all or part of
the day in the Georgia Center.

by the loss of 2005 graduate
Mary Couey, who was tragically
killed by a drunk driver in

Congratulations to Matthew Saltz, an undergraduate senior in Computer Science, who was recently
accepted into the Erasmus Mundus program in Data Mining and Knowledge Management. The program will allow Matt to pursue a Masters
in a participating University in France and Spain. Matt is currently a UGA Foundation Fellow and has performed research stints in
the Institute for AI
and the THINC lab.
