Computer Science Ph. D. student Mojtaba Sedigh Fazli has been selected as the recipient of this year's James L. Carmon Scholarship Award. This year's selection process was particularly competitive, and the department is very proud of Motjaba's accomplishment!

The James L. Carmon Award is presented to University of Georgia graduate students who have used computers in innovative ways. Named for the late James L. Carmon, a UGA faculty member for 36 years who helped make the university a leader in computer research and development, the award was established by the Control Data Corp.

Computer Science Ph. D. student Mojtaba Sedigh Fazli has been selected to receive Georgia Informatics Institutes Graduate Fellowships in Deep Learning and Visualization for the 2018 - 2019 academic year. This is a highly distinguished fellowship, and the department is very proud of his accomplishment!
