Optimization of OQL Queries
The aim of this lecture is to give a brief overview of optimization of OQL queries with more stress on certain theoretical aspects of Object Oriented Databases(OODB). The schema language in OODB is known as Object Definition Language (ODL)and the query language is called Object Query Language (OQL) . Two very important steps of this optimization process are based upon converting OQL Queries to OQL Calculus and then to OQL Algebra.
