Grading Policy
CSCI 4800 -- undergraduate version
Your grade in this course will be calculated as the average of
the following:
Projects:
- Proj 1 (team project) -- 300 pts.
- Proj 2A (individual, implementation ) -- 100 pts.
- Proj 2B (evaluation project, researcher ) -- 50 pts.
- Proj 2C (re-implement based on evaluation) -- 50 pts.
- Proj 3 (evaluation, participant ) -- 50 pts.
Quizzes/Exams:
- Quizzes -- 4 quizzes -- 100 pts.
- Midterm Exam -- 150 pts.
- Final Exam -- 200 pts.
Final Average: (Projects + Exams)/10
CSCI 6800 -- graduate version
The grad-level version of the course will involve an
in-class presentation on a "new topic" in HCI.
- Class Presentation -- 100 pts.
Final Average: (Projects + Exams + Presentation) /11
Letter Grades - 4800/6800
Letter grades are assigned as follows:
90 <= Average A
80 <= Average < 90 B
70 <= Average < 80 C
60 <= Average < 70 D
Average < 60 F
