Course Description

Weekly research seminar. Students must attend all talks and give at least one presentation at the seminar. The talk should explain state-of-the-art research in a specific area as represented by a principal reference (a conference or journal paper) backed up by supplementary references. The department offers ongoing seminars in theory and systems. Other seminars are offered from time to time pending approval of the Graduate Coordinator and Department Head.

The following will be considered in the grade determination: Quality of Presentation Materials (e.g., Powerpoint Presentation Slides), Organization and Clarity of Presentation, Suitable References and Ability to Answer Questions.
